Queen is the most common bed size in Australian homes, so it's usually the one doona you rely on night after night rather than switching between rooms. Ours are filled with 100% New Zealand wool, cased with 100% cotton, and machine washable at home, in four weights so you can match it to how your household sleeps through the year, season by season.
A queen wool quilt (or duvet) measures 210 x 210cm, available as a 150gsm summer weight, 350gsm autumn, 500gsm winter, or a Four Seasons option: two doonas, 150gsm and 350gsm, that clip together for winter and separate again once it warms up. Each is cased in 290 thread count cotton cambric with Sanitized® Mintactiv treatment to help protect against dust mites, and priced below our alpaca and down ranges at this size. Because a queen doona covers more surface area than a single or double, the difference in feel between weights is more noticeable, so compare them on our quilt buying guide before choosing.
Wool's moisture-wicking structure helps smooth over small differences in body temperature through the night, which matters most on a shared bed like queen. Where preferences are further apart, two single doonas placed side by side can give each person independent control.
The 500gsm winter weight is built for cold nights and holds warmth well through a Victorian or Tasmanian winter. If you want backup for the coldest snaps, layering a wool blanket underneath works better than sizing up to a heavier doona, which can end up too warm by August.
A 5-year guarantee covers manufacturing faults such as poor stitching. Get in touch or see our warranty and returns page for the full process.
Wool sits as our most affordable natural fibre option and regulates temperature well without the extra cost of alpaca or down. Our queen alpaca doonas breathe a little more for hot sleepers, and our queen duck down range is lighter and puffier again if weight is your main concern.
